A lakeside town, Newboro, on the Rideau,
developed originally as a result of the construction of the Rideau
Canal. For history enthusiasts, Newboro has a story to tell around
the building of the Rideau Canal. Take a walking tour of Newboro
and take a step back in history. The Stagecoach Inn is an historic
full service country inn, built originally in 1839. Whether you
wish to relax and get away from the noise and hassels of the city
or are here to fish or hunt, the Stagecoach Inn and our staff
can accommodate your needs.
Accommodations:
Our rooms are large, with 2 double beds, a
four piece bath, cable TV, individual climate control and are equipped
with a small kitchenette, should you wish the privacy of dining
in your own room.
We have 2 dining
rooms at the Stagecoach Inn, with daily lunch and dinner specials,
as well as the regular menu. We serve light meals after hours as
well. The dining rooms can be reserved for private groups. Take
time to view the paintings on display by the Rideau Lakes Artists
Association. One painting in particular, the artist has rendered
his interpretation of the Inn taken from a photograph reportedly
taken in 1847.

Information:
Forty minutes to the south of Newboro will
take you to historic Kingston. While 70 minutes east (down the canal
system) takes you to Canada's capital, Ottawa. Come and enjoy!
