Located on shore of beautiful Rice Lake Sunset Cove is a "housekeeping cottage resort" featuring 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom cottages. Each cottage is fully equiped with a fridge and stove, plates, cutlery, pots and pans, a toaster, a coffee maker and BBQ (Gas Grill).
For the use by our registered guests, Sunset Cove offer free canoes and kayaks. Our recreational facilities include volleyball, basketball, a horseshoe pits, and of course excellent fishing. Boat and motor rentals are available including two 18 ft pontoon boats.

Transient RV and camping at Sunset Cove is by the lakeshore (not on the hill at the back of the camp). There are docks at the camping area, so you can dock your own boat or your rental boat, right where you are camping. Renovated in 1997 the washroom and showers are modern and clean. Our camp store carries most necessities such as canned and packaged goods, toiletries, ice and for those with a sweet tooth, ice cream and for the fisherman bait.
The docks at Sunset Cove are protected by our 165 ft breakwater which provides shelter even in the worst of weather. Most boats stay on the finger docks located beside each of the cottages, but in the event of extreme weather, inside the breakwater is available.

At Sunset Cove our standard boat and motor rentals are either 15ft aluminum or 15ft fiberglass boats with 9.9 hp motors. The latest addition to our pool of boats is an 18 ft Pontoon with a 25hp motor, remote steering and controls with fishing seats on the corners.
Seasonal trailer site rentals are also available.
Directions from Toronto
- Hwy 401 East to Cobourg (2nd Exit, Rte 45 ) Exit North on No. 45
- North for 17 miles until you see Indian Monument/Olco Gas Station, turn left onto City Road 18
- Proceed 2.5 miles until you pass a small White Church on right hand side, 50 yards later turn right
- Proceed 2 miles until you see the lake (a public telephone will be on the right). YOU HAVE ARRIVED!
