Idle Hours Resort is a summer housekeeping cottage resort, located on Rice Lake, one of the best noted fishing spots in Ontario.

The cottages are situated on the grounds so that everyone has a full picturesque view of the lake and sunsets; either from ten foot picture windows or balcony. They are equipped with full bathrooms, complete kitchens with electric stoves and fridges; all cooking utensils and thermostatic heaters. Gas barbeque and microwaves with each cottage.

We provide FREE fish freezing. There are boat launching facilities available.

This is a wonderful haven for either the ardent fishermen and fisher women, or anyone looking for a quiet, restful place to relax.

Directions:
Take Highway 401 East from Toronto to Interchange 474 at Cobourg. Turn right (north) on Highway 45 through Baltimore past Fenella to Rice Lake Road.
(See White Monument and "Idle Hours" Sign). Turn left on County Road 18, past 2 cemeteries. Just past the second cemetery and church, take the next road on the right (see sign). Follow this road in approximately 2 miles, past "Sunset Cove Resort", past 3 private cottages on the left. Next is Idle Hours Resort.
