Young's Point General Store has been serving Kawartha area cottagers, boaters & visitors for about 100 years or so. New owners are gradually transforming the old fashioned place into a typical "General Store" once again. And, although the merchandise is current and changes frequently, we've managed to keep the old crooked wooden floors, original tongue & groove ceilings and some of the decades old hand made wooden displays & shelving.

In the early 1900's, any local general store was where one went for a pound of butter or a plate to put it on. For a fishing rod or a fish dinner. To pick out a birthday card, drink a cold Coke, get a hot coffee or to buy a pound of tea for the camp. The shelves held sweaters and ballcaps - or a hot
blueberry pie, plus newspapers & lanterns & toothpaste.

Young's Point General Store is becoming just that kind of store again. The kind of place
that's interesting to wander around in when all you came in for was a bag of potato chips and a
Pepsi. You can buy a postcard from the Young's Point General Store, then buy a stamp & mail it
from the Young's Point Post Office -without having to go outside. We sell lottery tickets, fishing
licenses, tobacco products, magazines, casual cottage clothing... plus Swift canoes & kayaks.

Going visiting and want to take a gift? We've framed prints, blankets... a whole general store
full of items to ponder over. We're certain you'll find"that perfect gift" and, the card to go with
it.

Our farm fresh eggs are from a nearby contented flock of hens that can roam & socialize when
they're not busy laying. Our Cowboy Steaks Bar-B.Q "Just fine! Just fine!". We offer Kawartha
Dairy Products, Empire Cheese, custom country smoked bacons & hams~ plus red & white wines,
imported & domestic beers, various liquors, and wide range of coolers plus the ice and glasses to
go with them.
