The Old Schoolhouse is at the hub of the Eastern Kawartha Lakes Region,
Peterborugh County, Ontario......conveniently located on the Selwyn Road
(County Road #20), just six kilometers east of Bridgenorth and 2 kilometer
west of Selwyn at The Buckhorn Road(County Road #23 - formerly Hwy. #507)
We came for a visit to
this part of the country ten years ago and never left. Come... Escape
the harrows of city life!




Serenity...
Tensions just disappear in the quiet restful atmosphere of this beautiful old country schoolhouse, established in 1836. You are welcome to relax outdoors, on the patio or veranda and absorb the serenity. Our warm hospitality is extended to you with a delicious light breakfast and complimentary afternoon hors d'oeurvres.

Local theater, golf, historical sites, art galleries, lakes, trails, parks, caves, boating excursions and many fine dining establishments are all within a twenty minute drive.

We offer you the very best value at the Old Schoolhouse Bed and Breakfast including a smoke-free environment. Our prices begin at just $45 (CDN) per night (single occupancy). Your choice of bedrooms offer either single beds or a queen size bed, each with a beautifully decorated sitting area .

 

Your Hosts...
In 1991 Harry and Mickey Bongers moved from Toronto with their two young daughters. We are the first family to occupy this beautiful restored school as a residence. Our daughters are now grown, live in Peterborugh and attend Trent University.
