Rideau Inn, circa 1916, is a charming Edwardian
home, on a quiet residential street just steps from the bustle,
nightclubs and resturants of Elgin Street in downtown Ottawa.
We offer 7 unique, air conditioned rooms, and lots
of guest privacy in a common Living room with fireplace and antiques,
dining room, fully equipped kitchen, verandah and private roof deck.
 The
Quebec Room
Our largest bedroom, on the second floor is located at the front
of the house and has a lovely view overlooking the park across the
street. It has the original fireplace, lots of storage, dresser
and a king or twin beds as you prefer. Future plans may include
an en-suite bathroom.
 The
Ontario Room
Also on the second floor in the middle of the house, is the spacious
Ontario room. It is quiet and shady and has been furnished with
a queen size bed, bureau, desk and reading chair. Future plans may
include a private, en-suite bath.
The British Columbia Room
On the 3rd floor as well at the front of the house is the sunny
B.C. room with a King or twin beds as you prefer, armoire, reading
chair and a view south overlooking the street and park.
 The
Maritimes Room
If a cozy, sunny bedroom with a sun porch appeals to you then you
would enjoy staying in the 2nd floor, Maritimes room. It is furnished
with a queen bed, chair, table and model ships.
The Alberta Room
High up in the trees on the 3rd floor of the house overlooking the
park beyond is the cozy, comfortable, economical Alberta room with
queen bed.
 The
Prairies Room
Our cozy Prairies bedroom at the rear of the house on the 2nd floor
has a queen bed, dresser, comfortable reading chair and its own
3 piece en-suite bathroom.
The Northern Room
Our 7th bedroom, the Northern room, is located on the 3rd floor
at the rear. This large bedroom also has a private en-suite bath,
queen bed, dresser, reading chair and overlooks our private roof
deck.
Many free amentities include, newspapers, magazines, video loan,
local calls, email, luggage storage, beverages and more. Ask about
long stay and other discounts.
