Located in historic Sandy Hill on a quiet residential
street, Lampman House, an elegant Victorian heritage home built
in 1874, is within walking distance of most places of interest including,
Parliament Buildings, National Arts Centre, National Art Gallery,
the Canal and the Byward Market. The University of Ottawa is also
close by.
Bring your bicycles and hook up with the many
bike paths.You can go straight from the front door.
The Gattineu Hills for winter skiing and walking
in the summer, are a 20 minute drive away.
There are a number of restaurants just minutes
walk away.
- Pricing is from $80 to $95
- Two available rooms, both with private
bathrooms.
- In addition to your comfortable sleeping
accommodation, enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the beautiful
living/diningroom with its 12ft. high ceilings, plaster
mouldings and two marble fireplaces. Relax on the veranda
and watch the world go by, or on the secluded roof top deck,
where you can see
birds and the occasional hot air balloon go by.
- The library provides a place to sit,
read or watch television.
- The house is air conditioned and we provide
a smoke free environment in the B&B, but you are welcome
to smoke on the verandah or roof top deck.
- You can help yourself to coffee, tea,
hot chocolate and cool fresh water, also we provide a fridge
to store your own things.
- Archibald Lampman, a well respected Canadian
poet once lived here.
- For the business person, Internet, E-Mail,
Fax machine, photocopying and printing, facilities are available.
- Resident cat, Georgie, therefore no visiting
pets please.
