The three partner/winemakers all consider winemaking a “personal art form”, and share a passion for finely crafted wines. Winemaking at Thirty Bench is a team approach. The goal is to create wines of superior quality and varietal character, the means, integration of vineyard and winery and using artisan production methods. All three have been making wine for decades, in total representing 150 years of winemaking experience.

Those who visit Thirty Bench Wines on tour will have the opportunity to experience the art of winemaking from start to finish as they enjoy one of the many award-winning wines while overlooking the vineyards and developing harvest. Visitors are invited to sample from a variety of Cabernets, Merlots and Chardonnays, as well as Rieslings ranging from bone-dry to Icewines, including Botrytis-affected wines. Our special premium wines display outstanding flavour intensity, which is achieved by “crop thinning”. In August, a certain percentage of grapes are taken off the vines and thrown away, causing the remaining grapes to become highly concentrated…therefore producing a more concentrated wine. Thirty Bench offers several private tour and tasting packages.
